We carry out residential structural surveys and commercial surveys in Croxley Green. Croxley Green is mainly a residential area and is located between Rickmansworth and Watford, approximately 20 miles from London.

There is a sizeable village green which has 17 th century buildings around it. During the 1800s more building took place around what is called New Road , but New Road is now one of the oldest roads in the village! The 1930s saw further development with many houses being built.

Paper maker, John Dickinson, who devised and patented a new method of continuous paper making opened Croxley Mill on Common Moor next to the Grand Union Canal in 1830. The writing paper 'Croxley Script' was produced here and Dickinson was responsible for the building of fif ty cottages for his workers at Dickinson Square , which is now a Conservation Area.

The village is also known for watercress growing at Croxley Hall Farm where new scientific methods of watercress growing were practiced in the Victorian era. The farm has a large tithe barn built between 1396 and 1401 and this barn is one of the biggest in Hertfordshire.

Croxley Green Village hold a yearly 'Revels on the Green' fair in June to celebrate mid-summer. Maypole dancing is included in the event. During the Christmas period the yearly Mummer folk play 'St George and the Dragon' takes place in some of the village pubs. (Mummers' Plays , or mumming, are seasonal folk plays performed by troupes of actors known as mummers or guisers).
