Flitwick
is a small town in mid Bedfordshire and is named after the nearby River Flit running through the nature reserve of Flitwick Moor, which is a site of special scientific interest.
There has been a settlement at Flitwick since Saxon times and history records a Roman settlement. Flitick is mentioned in the Domesday Book as having a moated castle, a stone church nearby and a Mill.
