We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Great Yarmouth. Great Yarmouth is a town which is situated in Norfolk.

Information on Great Yarmouth

Our chartered Surveyors at 1 st Associated often visit the popular town of Great Yarmouth to carry out Residential Building Surveys and Commercial Surveys. The town is one of Norfolk 's busiest seaside locations. Located on the East coast it has miles and miles of sandy beaches and two piers, Wellington and Britannia, both offering entertainment and a host of attractions.

Although Yarmouth has many of the traditional seaside amenities such as amusement arcades, funfairs and beach activities it also has many places of interest linked to its heritage. The Norfolk Nelson museum is located in South Quay and is where you can find out all about the life of Admiral Nelson. The museum is in a beautiful Georgian Merchants house and our Chartered Surveyors enjoyed seeing this building while they were in the area.

The Rows of Great Yarmouth were a must see for our Chartered Surveyors! These are long very narrow streets with houses on both sides. They were so narrow that at some points you could touch both houses from the middle of the street. Doors had to be opened inwards instead of outwards for fear of causing injury to people walking past. Originally these narrow rows of houses would have numbered 145 and contained over 3000 houses. Today most of the houses are gone and the rows act as alleyways to other places. However a house in row 111 and the Old Merchants House are still standing and have been restored by English Heritage and are now open to the public. They give an insight into what life would have been like all those years ago.

After carrying out Building Surveys in town, both Residential Building Surveys and Commercial Surveys including Schedules of Condition and Pre Lease Surveys, our Chartered Surveyors often enjoy some of the world famous Yarmouth chips from the stalls in the market place. There has been a market place in the town centre since at least the 1200's. Today there are two markets, the six day under cover market and the two day market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Great Yarmouth has a full range of shopping facilities to suit all needs including supermarkets, department stores and many independent specialised shops. All tastes in food are well catered for and there are many pubs bars and clubs to be found. A' must try' restaurant is the Black Rock Grill where you cook your own food at your table using hot volcanic rocks. It's an amazing experience and a perfect end to a busy day for our Chartered Surveyors after providing Building Surveys in the local area.

As Chartered Surveyors w e have also often provided Building Surveys and Home Buyer reports for the neighbouring communities including Gorlestone, Scratby and Ormesby.

Building Survey Great Yarmouth

If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Great Yarmouth or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are Independent Chartered Building Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.

All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
