Hythe is located near the towns of Saltwood to the North, Folkestone to the East and Burmarsh to the West, it is near the M20 and just off the A259 and A261.
Sene Valley Golf Club which was founded in 1894 and is a 18 hole course with a number of competitions being held throughout the year as well as professional golfers here to coach for all ages.

The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch steam and diesel railway is a delight to travel on with the railway being in existence since its opening in 1927. The railway today runs from Hythe to Dymchurch, St Mary's Bay, Romney Warren, new Romney, Romney Sands before its end at Dungeness. There is an area now available for weddings at the Heywood Conservatory at New Romney station and for children there is a Bug Club named after the Basil the Bug locomotive with special events such as Santa Specials for all the family to enjoy.
As the first line of defence from a threat from invaders from the sea Hythe is one of the Cinque Ports along with Hastings , New Romney, Dover and Sandwich plus Rye and Winchelsea.
When visiting the town the 11th century parish church dedicated to St Leonard is a fascinating place to visit with its vaults named the Bonehouse containing bones and a large collection of medieval skulls of early settlers and stands high on the hill with views on a clear day across the Channel to France.
